Know where AI looks before you spend on it

Your buyers ask ChatGPT and Perplexity before they ask anyone else. HotMention runs your buying prompts through ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Claude every week and shows an honest scoreboard: how often you are cited, who is cited instead, and which Reddit threads feed those answers — the threads you can actually join.

How Citation Share is measured

1

Buying prompts

Up to 30 category-level questions a buyer would ask: "best email warmup tool for cold outreach". Never your brand name, never a competitor's — those are not the questions buyers ask. We generate them from your website; you edit them.

2

Four engines, several samples

ChatGPT with web search, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Claude. Each prompt is asked several times per engine, because answers vary from run to run. Gemini and Google AI Mode are built but off until their results are stable.

3

Cited in N of M checks

M is prompts × engines × samples. N is the checks where your brand appears. That fraction is your Citation Share, with a delta against the previous run only when both runs asked the same number of checks.

4

Who is cited instead, and from where

For every prompt you lose: the brands cited, the engines, and the source feeding the answer. When that source is a Reddit thread, it lands in your lead feed with a draft.

From scoreboard to action

A dashboard that only shows a number is a weekly reason to feel bad. HotMention connects the losing prompts to the Reddit threads behind them, drops those threads into your lead feed as AI-cited leads with a draft and posting guidance, and then verifies that your reply is still live on day 7. Reddit is the most-cited source across all four engines, which is why the two halves of HotMention belong together.

What we don't claim

We do not promise that ChatGPT will recommend you, and we do not attribute a change in the scoreboard to a reply you posted. Engines answer probabilistically and change with every model update; week-to-week noise of a prompt or two is normal, and the scoreboard says so. What you get is where the engines look, whether you are there, and the threads to join.

Coming from Famelark?

Famelark's AI visibility tracking now lives inside HotMention as Citation Share: the same engines and the same honest “cited in N of M checks” scoreboard, now next to the threads to reply in and the verification that the reply survived. Included in the plan

Citation Share is part of the $99/month plan, not a separate product: 30 buying prompts, 5 tracked competitors with domains, a weekly run, and a weekly report. Need more prompts? +30 for $20/month. The scoreboard is also available to your AI agent over the API, MCP and the CLI.
