If a tool is posting comments for you, Reddit will delete most of them and, eventually, the accounts. We ran that tool. Why comments get removed
A bot posted it
Reddit's spam filters and moderators recognise pooled accounts, proxies and template phrasing. In our previous product, 90–95% of replies posted from a pool of accounts were removed, and one wave of shadowbans cut the pool from 146 accounts to 46.
A link in the first comment
Many subreddits auto-remove any comment from a low-karma account that contains a link. The answer was fine; the URL killed it.
An account with no history there
A fresh account whose first comment in r/SaaS is a product mention reads as spam to everyone, moderators included.
The wrong subreddit
Some communities remove every mention of a product. Others welcome a helpful answer with one mention. Knowing which is which before you post is most of the game.

A 0-100 share of verified replies still live there, seeded from a year of removal data and recomputed daily from our own checks. You see ok, careful or avoid before you post.
Guidance inside the draft
On careful subreddits the draft follows the rules that keep comments alive: answer the question first, mention the product once, no link in the first comment. On avoid it tells you not to post.
A reply budget you set
Three Reddit replies a day and ten a week by default, sixty minutes apart. The dashboard, the Telegram and Slack buttons and the API all refuse to record a reply past the cap unless you force it.
Verification on day 1, 3 and 7
Paste the comment link (or set your Reddit username) and HotMention reads the comment through the Reddit API three times. Live or Removed, no guessing, and every check improves the subreddit's score.

Questions people ask
Can my AI agent post for me?+
Yes, from your own account. HotMention exposes the loop over MCP, a REST API and a CLI: list hot leads, regenerate the draft with instructions, record the reply with the link. Claude Code, OpenClaw, Codex or n8n can run it. HotMention itself never posts.
What happens when a reply is removed anyway?+
It is marked Removed on the lead, the subreddit's survival score drops, and the guidance for that subreddit turns careful or avoid for the next reply. Nothing counts as a win until it is still live on day 7.
Do you verify replies on X, LinkedIn or Quora?+
Not yet. Verification runs through the Reddit API; replies elsewhere are recorded as not verified and stay out of the survival statistics.
How is this connected to AI visibility?+
Reddit is the most-cited source when ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Claude answer buying questions. HotMention runs your buying prompts through those engines and adds the threads they cite to your lead feed, so the replies that survive are also the ones AI reads.
